Running totals vs. par
As each hole is entered, the running total against par updates automatically — 3 under, even, 1 over — so the field always knows where they stand. No adding columns, no double-checking arithmetic.
Editable until the card is final
Mistakes happen, and rain delays happen. Every score stays editable any time until the round is final, so a corrected number never forces a paper chain or a re-tally.
